Inequality: San Antonio’s Silent Crisis is noteworthy because it highlights a distinction the city would rather not have. In recent years, San Antonio has earned a distinction nobody wants: we’ve been at, or near, the top of the list in multiple studies when it comes to geographic income inequality. There was almost a $100,000 difference in household income from the richest to the poorest.

We highlighted the differences in these zip codes and invited community leaders from all sectors, including the mayor, to discuss how we got to this point, and more importantly, what has to be done to “level the playing field.”

This open discussion helped viewers understand the history of the city’s issue and what is planned to happen in the future.
